Janice Stein is the Harrowston professor of Conflict Management and Negotiation at University of Toronto. She was educated at McGill and Yale universities. A regular television commentator on foreign policy issues, Professor Stein is the co-author of WE ALL LOST THE COLD WAR and CITIZEN ENGAGEMENT IN CONFLICT RESOLUTION: LESSONS FOR CANADA IN INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE. She is currently chair of the research advisory board to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
